Hi, I never entered in a site like this one. So I don't know if I do right to write here my problem but try costs nothing.
After I read the ten minute film-shool of Robert Rodriguez some time ago I decided to write a scenario for a movie and I wanted to try to make it. Finally I wrote a scenario, I let some firend read it and everyone of them invited me trying to make it. So, I found many friends that will be glad to help me. So I decided to organize this attempt. I found everything I need, cameras free by my friends, I know how to organize the places where to play it, but I noticed a real big fucking problem. Well, I foun everything I need except one thing: the people I need to play my scenario are too fucking much. As you can understand change my scenario is unthinkable and I'm fucking disperate. The movie already exist in my head but I can't play anything without actors. Do you have some suggestion to give me?

Ok -Are you saying you wanted Certain actors but you can't afford them?

My best advice- "Advertise and hold auditions"
Put out a call for actors/actresses in your area!
Set up a camera and give them a cold read of a scene.
If you still can't find want you want-
I would check your local theater departments- student actors and so forth-
-You put out the word and it will come to you-

Ok, well if you can't can't afford the people you want to be in the movie, then you should look into casting from acting schools or drama programs. Because people who are still in school are generally willing to work for very cheap or free, and want the experience. At least that is the group we generally take our people from.

The way I read it, the problem our friend has is one of extras, in that there are too many characters in the flick and not enough people to fill them all.

If this is the correct assumption, you could place an ad in a local newspaper along the lines of "Want to be in a movie? Come down to (insert location here) and be immortalised on film forever!"

Or, I could be wrong, in which case follow the advice above, and I'll get back in my box.
